TEHRAN (IRNA) -- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenii stressed Wednesday that works of young poets should be given due attention.

In a meeting with a group of veteran and young poets, the Supreme Leader said works of Iranian poets have become much more mature after the 1979 victory of the Islamic Revolution through adding religious and social subjects to their poems.
Prior to the Supreme Leader's speech, a number of young poets read their poetries mostly depicting the holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH), his household, and martyrs of the Islamic Revolution.
